SEWA eyes May 2021 completion for two 33kV stations in Al Dhaid, Nizwa‎

The Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) is continuing construction activities at two of its 33kV distribution stations in Nizwa and Al Dhaid, with the authority aiming to complete the construction work at the facilities by May 2021.

Being implemented under the directives of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, currently SEWA is intensifying its efforts to complete work on the two stations.

SEWA has marked 53% civil works completion on the Al Dhaid station, and 51% on Nizwa station. Electrical works on the stations is 19% complete.
Talking about the projects, HE Saeed Al Suwaidi, chairman of SEWA said that the authority will modify the networks on time and develop a plan in coordination with the Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA) to continue providing services efficiently.

According to Al Suwaidi, in the next phase, the authority will implement a number of development projects for networks and distribution stations in the cities of the central region in an effort to keep up with its development plan. These projects will be carried out in cooperation with all government agencies
Al Suwaidi noted that the cities in the Central Region of Sharjah have been witnessing an urban renaissance and a state of recovery supported by better infrastructure projects for electricity, water, and natural gas networks.
